Class Environmental Assessment Process
This study is following the Class Environmental Assessment (EA) for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000) process for Group ‘B’ projects.
The assessment of alternatives and input from the consultation process will result in the identification of a preferred plan. Upon completion of this Preliminary Design Study and Class EA a Transportation Environmental Study Report (TESR) will be prepared. The TESR includes a description of the project and its purpose, the existing natural, social, economic and cultural environmental factors, the analysis / evaluation of alternatives that were considered, the anticipated environmental effects and proposed mitigation measures, and commitments to further work, consultation, and monitoring associated with the implementation of the project.
Once completed, the TESR will be made available for a 30-day public review period. Notices will be posted on this website and published in local newspapers at that time to explain the review process and to identify the locations where the TESR is available for viewing.
